The Ceremony

In the heart of our woodland there is a tranquil meadow where your legal ceremony takes place. Up to 90 guests can be seated to witness your marriage. You can marry legally with Cheshire East Registrars or have your ceremony conducted by a celebrant.

If you you have any guests that are unable to make the short walk down into the woods, we will chauffeur them to the aisle in our 4×4.

The Bar

Following your ceremony you will make your way back to the tipis, meadow and bar area via the woodland path and over the handbuilt wooden bridge. The party begins with hugs, kisses and congratulations as we pour you and your guests a welcome drink. The rustic ‘Woodshed Bar’ is fully staffed and fully loaded with all the beer, prosecco, shots, spirits and cocktails! We also serve a wide selection of wines, cider, soft drinks, tea and coffee and our draught lager is sourced locally by our friends at Poynton Brewery. The stone walls, pergola and plants in the ‘old ruin’ have a Mediterranean vibe whilst the fire pit and festoon lighting create the perfect evening ambiance.

The Tipis

Our two giant hat tipis can seat up to 110 daytime guests and host a total of 150 evening guests. Fully furnished with coconut matted flooring, a large dancefloor with disco ball, an in-house sound system, rustic wooden tables and handmade benches. A comfy chill out area is included with a luxurious leather Chesterfield suite. Decorated with fairy lights, ambient lighting, hanging garlands, LOVE letters, lanterns, milk churns, barrels, flowers, trees and foliage the tipis have a warm, charming, rustic feel. You are welcome to add any finishing touches or props to suit your individual theme.

The Food

Unlike many wedding venues, at Parkgate you may choose your own caterers! Whether your style of wedding is a more traditional, formal sit down meal with table service or a laid back go-help-yourself festival vibe, we have an extensive list of tried and tested caterers. From BBQ to hog roast, wood fired pizza to sharing boards and ice cream cart to a waffles truck, you have the freedom to choose what you want and who you would like.

The Entertainment

The large meadow around the tipis is fully enclosed, safe for children and perfect for entertaining your guests. We can supply a great selection of lawn games, a bouncy castle, toys, a soft play set up and haybales around the firepit. You may want to hire a magician, a photobooth, crazy golf or a caricature artist! The possibilities are endless and we will help you make your wedding day dreams become a reality!

The Party

Live music is always extremely popular, especially a singer, guitarist or saxophonist playing outside at the bar area in the afternoon during your drinks reception to get everyone in the party mood! For the evening our very own House Band A Hundred Endings are guaranteed to have your guests dancing the night away with their huge repertoire of popular songs, or you may wish to hire a DJ, or both, the choice is yours!

Roy and Emma will always be at hand to assist with every detail throughout the whole planning and booking process, and of course be present for full coordination on your big day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We have a wonderful team of friendly, professional staff to look after your guests, from working the bar, assisting with parking, shuffling furniture, and even coordinating taxis at the end of the night. Rest assured, you can simply relax and enjoy your perfect day.
