Parkgate Farm is owned and run by Roy and Emma and has been in the Bennett family for five generations. Nestled by a winding stream in the charming dell of Norbury Hollow, on the edge of East Cheshire, the farm is delightfully rural yet still close to transport links.
Originally a working farm, the land was home to pig and all manner of livestock. The family continue to work hard to preserve the flora and fauna which abound. It’s still a labour of love to maintain the natural beauty of the lush, green meadows and magical woodland that run alongside the babbling Norbury Brook.
A Family-Run Wedding Venue, Made with Love
Roy always dreamt of creating a beautiful wedding venue at his family farm. Emma realised it would be a huge undertaking – and a massive responsibility – but her faith in Roy, and their shared work ethic meant she was fully on board. Work began in 2016 to enhance the farm’s many original features and bring to life the perfect wedding venue.
Four years of long, long days, nights and sheer hard graft followed. Roy and his dad worked tirelessly until the entire place was reimagined and reinvented. Even before the tipis were erected or the log store became the bar, Emma saw just how amazing Parkgate weddings would be. She was able to share that vision with prospective couples who, too, could feel the magic. Such was the couples’ faith in Emma and Roy that enquiries flooded in – and bookings followed. The first Parkgate Wedding was in June 2021 and proved everything. Parkgate Farm IS the perfect countryside wedding venue.

We help with planning, timelines, supplier coordination, set-up, and the smooth running of the day itself, so that you, your family, and your friends can simply relax and enjoy every moment. Whether you’re planning a relaxed festival-style wedding, a rustic countryside celebration, or something more elegant and formal, our space can be styled and personalised to become yours. However, we can also help source and recommend suppliers.
You’ll have access to the venue the day before your wedding, giving you time to decorate, add personal touches and really make the space your own. We’re right here to offer advice, recommendations, and practical help whenever you need it.
