A Wedding Two Years in the Making
Date: 18th July 2026
Guests: 75 people all day
Adam and Simone always knew they wanted a proper party of a wedding, nothing overly formal or too traditional. It was important that all their family and friends should feel comfortable, have fun, and just enjoy all being together for a wonderful celebration. With Simone’s incredible party décor, they certainly did.
THIS is the Place
Simone found us by searching for wedding venue inspiration on Google. She said, “I saw Parkgate Farm and just thought THIS is the place!” Simone and Adam came to look around, and that feeling became even stronger. So much so, Simone says, that they genuinely didn’t need to look elsewhere:.
“We just knew Parkgate Farm was the perfect wedding venue.”
Simone continues: “The whole place felt so us.” The couple loved the relaxed, festival feel – exactly what they pictured – and were further delighted by the beautiful location and Parkgate’s character and charm. Like so many of our couples, Adam and Simone could instantly imagine their day here. Another massive bonus, Simone says, is that:

“Roy is an amazing musician and performer – we didn’t have to worry about looking for the perfect band to really give that festival vibe.”
Making Parkgate Farm Their Own
All our couples take virtual ownership of Parkgate for their special day and can decorate the venue however they want. Adam and Simone went to town and their decorations were breathtaking. Simone says,
“The vision I had for the day came to life exactly how I’d hoped.”

Their festival style day was completely their own, and that made it extra special – we barely recognised the tipis as ours! Pink tablecloths seemed simple but looked truly stunning and were even further jazzed-up with the most fabulous leopard print napkins.
Simone brought an absolute PARTY vibe to life, choosing the brightest pinks, leopard prints, and sparkly disco glitter balls – hundreds of them, from miniature to real dance floor size! A full tassel streamer garland encircled the tipi, with tassels decorating the interior too, and neon signage from Love Lights the Way glowed inside the tipis. Simone devised and created the décor herself, and with her bridesmaids, spent the prewedding Friday making the tipis her own.
Simone says, “Everything just came together. We had spent so much time imagining what it would be like, and then suddenly we were actually there, surrounded by people we love.”
“It was better than we ever imagined.”
Where it all Began: The Proposal
Adam proposed to Simone on her 30th birthday, at home. This was perfect – Simone told us she “couldn’t imagine anything more me than being at home together.”
“I opened my presents and there was one box left. Inside was another little box, and inside that, a ring box. I remember looking at Adam and saying something along the lines of ‘are you sure?’ It was a lovely, quiet, special moment between just the two of us.”
Later, Simone told Adam he hadn’t officially proposed. She was worried she’d somehow got the wrong end of the stick. Clearly, she absolutely got the right end. Adam asked properly and of course she said yes, so the couple celebrated with a romantic weekend away – the perfect start to their new chapter.

The Perfect Day in the Perfect Venue
Those aren’t our words. Simone says,
“I couldn’t pick one best bit – because the whole day was perfect.”
We do everything possible to make Parkgate weddings perfect, and everything worked beautifully: fabulous guests and incredible food – even gorgeous weather. Lovely and talented Chef Lucy of Celebrate Catering is one of our favourite wedding caterers – and Adam and Simone’s wedding shows why. Lucy created and delivered a mouthwatering full barbecue as well as a decadent dessert table loaded with naughty-but-nice doughnuts, homemade brownies, rocky road, and a myriad of other sweet treats.
For their wedding cake, Adam and Simone chose an artisan cheesecake instead of a heavy fruit cake. Lucy cleverly presented the cheesecake as the centrepiece of a grazing table chock-full of pies, chutney, crackers, and abundant tasty treats for the evening food. This looked incredibly tempting – and reduced food waste.

A Stressless Wedding Venue
The couple told us that they felt ‘totally chilled’ – another big plus point of Parkgate Farm. We can take care of everything, so our couples are free to properly enjoy their whole day. Nobody wants to spend a special day worrying about what’s happening in the background:
“We were totally relaxed throughout and that was completely down to the amazing team at Parkgate Farm Wedding Venue.”
Simone spent two years planning the wedding and, in the weeks beforehand, hours planning all the little details. However, on the day, she was happy to put her trust in us and let us take care of everything for her, which of course we did. The couple were so pleased to relax and enjoy their wedding.
The culmination of two years’ planning was the day the couple dreamt of – with us helping them make it happen. Simone laughed about how relaxed she could be:
“I was probably the least stressed bride ever because I genuinely didn’t have to worry about anything on the day!”

This is true for all our Parkgate brides. The couple were able to take moments throughout the day to look around and think, “This is actually happening.” Those are the moments that have really stayed, making their wedding a day to remember forever.
A Hundred Endings ARE the Party
After the legal ceremony, with Cheshire East registrar, and the wedding breakfast (well, barbecue), it was time to party. As the sunlight dipped, the fairy lights began to twinkle, and the atmosphere tingled.
This is when the leopard print napkins came into their own, as everyone waved them to welcome the newlyweds – it looked spectacular. We orchestrated it, playing Rock n Roll Star by Oasis, timed so the beat dropped exactly as they entered. Parkgate’s own Roy was MC for their day, as well as leading the evening festivities with our 4-piece house band, A Hundred Endings. Roy, as lead singer, took over and rocked the dancefloor as ever. Two hours of dancing and belting out rock indie pop party classics closed with a rock version of Freed from Desire.
As a finale, the song went down a storm – the only storm of Simone and Adam’s day.Simone and Adam loved the band who they describe as “just incredible.” The couple also curated their own playlist and played this throughout the afternoon and after the band’s set, which we looked after for them. Throughout all the merriment, the bar stayed busy all day. Shot of the Wedding was Parkgate’s creation ‘Jammy Dodger’ which
tastes just like the biscuit (but is strictly for the grown-ups).

Taking Care of Everything
We supported Adam and Simone by creating and following a detailed plan for the day. This ensured everything ran smoothly – our entire team knew exactly what to do, and exactly where to be, at exactly the right time.
We do this for ALL our couples. Adam and Simone deserved extra special care, as their two beautiful daughters have Rett Syndrome, a neurological condition which affects previously healthy little girls. Rett Syndrome leaves sufferers with multiple disabilities and medical complexities for life. The girls wouldn’t have enjoyed the day, so spent the weekend being looked after where they would have much more fun. Simone kept them close to her heart, with photographs framed within her bouquet. As a Rett Syndrome Advocate, Simone placed cards on every table allowing guests to donate to the Reverse Rett charity, for which the couple fundraise tirelessly, to support gene therapies and treatments for Rett Syndrome.
Trust the Process; Trust the Parkgate Team
Again, words we absolutely echo – but these are from Simone herself, as advice any future Parkgate Farm bride. And groom, of course… She told us how lovely it is to look back on it all, especially now they have the beautiful photographic memories from Charlotte, of Captured Life Photography. Charlotte describes herself as a photographer for the free-spirited, so was the perfect choice. The photographs reflect a day full of happiness and will never fail to bring a smile. Simone describes them as “amazing photos to remind us of all the little moments of the day.
So, back to the advice that you can trust everything to us, it’s better to hear it from Simone again: “I honestly cannot praise Emma, Roy and the whole Parkgate team enough. They are just incredible.”
“From the planning right through to the wedding day, I genuinely didn’t worry about a single thing. I felt completely looked after and knew everything was in safe hands. They make everything feel effortless, even though there must be so much work happening behind the scenes.” We can vouch for this bit, too.
“The whole team are so lovely, helpful and genuinely invested in making sure you have the best day possible. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.”
We promise, it’s not. We’ll do whatever we can to make your day a dream come true.

Your Day, Your Way with Parkgate Farm Wedding Venue
It’s easy to get caught up worrying when you’re planning a wedding, in the end all that matters is you and your fiancé. We know what we’re doing, we love doing it, and it shows. On the day, let us take care of everything so you can be present and enjoy the magic.
We’ll even make sure you get a few moments together during the day to stop, look around and take everything in. The couple’s photographer took them apart for a little while to give them this time. Everyone will tell you your wedding day goes by in a flash, so stop, breathe, and smell the roses (or other wedding flowers…) We’ll help you with this, too.
“We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day. It was everything we hoped for and more, much of that is because of Parkgate.”

We’d Recommend Parkgate Farm in a Heartbeat
Simone said she felt incredibly lucky to find Parkgate Farm. “We didn’t just have an amazing wedding day; we had an amazing experience from start to finish.” Honestly, we feel incredibly lucky when couples choose us. It makes every bit of hard work worth it.
“We’d recommend Parkgate to anyone in a heartbeat. It really was perfect for us, and we’ll always be so grateful that we chose it as the place to start this next chapter together.”
Adam and Simone, it was absolutely our pleasure, and we wish you a lifetime of happiness. You deserve it!
